Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology selects CAMECA IMS 1280-HR
The recent order of an Ultra High Sensitivity High Resolution Ion Microprobe IMS 1280-HR by the Beijing Research Institute of Uranium Geology (BRIUG) confirms CAMECA's undisputed leadership in two strategic analytical markets: nuclear safeguards and isotope geochemistry.

Founded in 1959, BRIUG is the only national uranium geoscientific center in China. It conducts research on uranium geology, nuclear waste disposal and remote sensing technology. BRIUG has established extensive scientific and technological exchanges as well as bilateral cooperative relations with research institutes in more than 40 countries, as well as with the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

BRIUG's IMS 1280-HR will be installed within the Analytical Laboratory (ALBRIUG) under leadership from Prof. Dongfa Guo.

Our large radius SIMS was selected for its proven superior capabilities for uranium particle analysis and U-Pb geological dating. It will be furthermore equipped with the APM Software, CAMECA's powerful tool for nuclear particle detection and isotopic characterization.
