Korea Basic Science Institute orders IMS7f-Auto
KBSI-IMS7f-AutoApril 2016: Korea Basic Science Institute (KBSI) just ordered an IMS 7f-Auto for its Busan Center.

Founded in 1988, KBSI provides analytical capabilities to domestic and foreign basic researchers and companies, running more than 140,000 samples each year with more than 150 state-of-the-art analytical  systems.

Specializing in ion beam research, the Busan Center is already equipped with an IMS 6f and a NanoSIMS 50. The new  IMS 7f-Auto was selected for its unrivaled detection limits for atmospheric contaminants (H, C, O, N…), its fast depth profiling capabilities and high quality ion imaging.

It will be primarily used to study structural characteristics and electrochemical properties of lithium secondary ion batteries and develop cutting-edge technology for 28 GHz ECR source and linear accelerator systems of heavy ions.
